2024 Virtual Cord Blood Accreditation Workshop

This interactive workshop is designed to describe FACT's Standards and accreditation process in an engaging format facilitated by experienced FACT instructors. The workshop will include case studies and opportunities to discuss real-life scenarios with your colleagues. Presenters will discuss requirements and expectations for accreditation, how to position your organization to pursue accreditation, methods for maintaining accreditation readiness, and avoiding and correcting common citations. Additional discussion areas include improving quality in cord blood banking with FACT Accreditation, quality components of a successful stability program, and developing and assessing a quality management plan.

- Once the evaluation is complete, your certificate is automatically provided to you through the learning management system. You can always return to the dashboard for a transcript of your education.
- AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ or CPHQ(R) is provided on your certificate in the designation statement. It will also be listed on your transcript in your dashboard.

Dr. Phyllis Warkentin is a founding member of the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), a member of the FACT Board of Directors, and the FACT Chief Medical Officer. She is a Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology, and Pediatrics professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE, and the Medical Director of the Nebraska Medicine Blood and Marrow Transplant Marrow Collection Program. She has authored over one hundred scientific publications in transfusion, transplantation, and cellular therapy. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis, MN, board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology and transfusion medicine.
