FACT Inspector Training Course: Trainee and Mentor Framework

The FACT Trainee and Mentor Training course is a four-part series that explains how inspectors are prepared and supported to conduct high-quality FACT inspections through structured roles, preparation, participation, and follow-up activities. Module 1 introduces the roles and requirements of FACT Inspector Trainees and Mentors, describes how FACT supports both through testing, workshops, and pre/post-training activities, and highlights the purpose of the training inspection as a real-world, peer-to-peer learning experience that builds competence in applying the Standards, using the Portal, and completing inspection deliverables. Module 2 focuses on preparing for a FACT training inspection, guiding trainees and mentors through key pre-inspection activities, including the pre-inspection meeting with the Accreditation Coordinator, planning mentoring during a live inspection, and reviewing critical concepts for inspection readiness. Module 3 focuses on what happens during the on-site visit, emphasizing pre-inspection team meetings, professional etiquette, and the distinct roles of trainees and mentors. Module 4 addresses post-inspection activities and best practices, with a particular focus on timely, high-quality report submission and feedback.
